•Primary responsibilities related to technical preparation of analyses, notes and memoranda on international and domestic direct tax matters, based on domestic and international/OECD technical knowledge up-to-date
• Permanent updates on new domestic and international tax legislation on direct taxation and tax procedure and compliance in this area of taxation;
•Responsible for the team underneath, i.e., recruitment, training, delegation and review of work, evaluation and retention of juniors in the team;
•External communication with clients for receiving relevant information to be used for our research and technical conclusions;
•Coordination of in-house trainings on international and domestic direct taxation;
•Cooperation with international tax experts part of our global network;
•Setting and maintaining a very good professional relationship with colleagues and clients;
•Carrying out business development activities: approaching new clients, project proposals, fee budgets, client and suppliers negotiations, etc.;
•Streamlining, improving, and constantly reviewing internal work processes for efficient projects and allocation of resources on projects;
•Acting as a liaison between the client’s demands and the tasks that can be carried out by the team members;
•Establishing weekly / monthly goals and tasks to be carried out by junior team members, based on complexity, urgency and technical skills required;
•Responsible for the final product delivered to the client;
•Responsible for achieving the yearly budget goals of the team.
•5-7 years of relevant previous work experience in international direct taxation;
•Clear understanding, citation, and application of direct international taxation (profits tax, withholding tax, individual income tax, etc.), very good international accounting knowledge, as well as European direct tax legislation (EU Directives on direct taxation) and double tax treaties (OECD MC);
•Sound logical reasoning, problem-solving solving and analytical skills;
•Proven team management skills;
•Appropriate business development and selling skills;
•Excellent command of English - both speaking and writing;
•Very good interpersonal and team-playing skills.

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
* Minimum 2-3 years of relevant VAT advisory experience, preferably within a consultancy or accounting firm;
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills; * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple clients and tasks simultaneously; * Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team;
* Desire to develop a career in the VAT field;
* Analyze complex VAT issues and provide recommendations for clients in various industries;
*Work across Deloitte's teams to provide appropriate solutions for clients requirement;
* Participate in various trainings to enhance VAT knowledge;
*Collaborate with colleagues to understand client operations and deliver tailored VAT solutions;
* Make sure that the deadlines are met;
* Support business development efforts - draft proposals, prepare for client meetings/calls, etc;
* Prepare documents in view of any upcoming tax audits
